Welcome to my Professional Porfolio! The seven links to the left will take you to all
aspects of my teaching career. Below is the description of what you will find under each
link. (There will be pictures included when I get them finished) Background This includes why I went into teaching, where I went to school, and what I am currently doing now. Teaching Philosophy This describes my overall philosophy of teaching science. It includes my ideas on how students learn science as well. Curriculum This gives an overview of what topics I teach throughout each semester along with a breakdown of experiements. Strategies This includes the different ways I implement the curriculum to maximize the students' learning. Planning This section has two different example of curriculum planning. The first example is a small two day experiement. The second example is a two week unit. Assessment This provides an explanation of how I assess student learning as well as my philosophy on grades and the importance of application. Development This describes the different methods I use to further my growth as a science teacher. |
